The land at Sandbach Road, extending to 5.3 hectares (approx. 13 acres), was purchased in 2005. The site is on the edge of town and lies close to the soon-to-be-completed Congleton Bypass, making it an ideal residential development for the future.
As this site is very close to the land at Padgbury Lane, Congleton – see separate Case Study – the decision was taken not to promote it until planning permission had been secured on Padgbury Lane.
This has now been secured and is to be developed by a local housebuilder. LandFirst is now able to promote the land at Sandbach Road through the Cheshire East Local Plan.
